Delan Ellington is a graduating senior of at the University of Missouri Columbia flagship campus graduating December 2016. He majored in the Public History and Anthropology obtaining a minor in the Political Science. This digital exhibit is being done in as his senior public history project for the class History/Black Studies 4235 The Wire, Urban Inequality, and the “Crisis” of the American City taught by assistant professor Dr. Keona Ervin. Delan has been a 2015-2016 McNair Scholar for, The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program completing research entitled "Intersectional Consciousness: The Cultural effects of the Black Church Black LGBTQ Individuals". A 2016 Kinder Scholar through the Kinder Institute for Constitutional Democracy he has interned with the American Indian Liaison Office of the National Park Service.
